The Sky Connection was founded in 2004 to bring hands-on science to individuals and organizations in a
unique and fun way. We expanded our offerings to include a wider range of topics involving culture, climate, geography, mathematics, and related disciplines. Our founder and chief astro-guide, Mike Marks, has delivered on-site programs, shows, and workshops to a variety of public and private venues with audiences ranging from 3 to 80 years of age. We cover New England and occasionally beyond doing groups of 20 to 750 using our traveling EduTarium.
From 2004 to 2008, Mike was an authorized sales representative of the STARLAB® Portable Planetarium in New England. He still provides training and workshops on these products leveraging his extensive experience with this equipment and related curricula.
Mike also teaches introductory astronomy courses at a Massachusetts community college, and is a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association.
